The Osachi Family is originated from the ancient Assyrian town of Alqoush which is located about 40 km north of Nineve (Mosul), Iraq. During the last century most of the Osachi family left Alqoush for bigger cities in Iraq looking for better living conditions. Most of them settled down in Baghdad, but also in Mosul and Basra. However they had always strong ties to Alqoush and visited it regularly.

During the last two decades many Osachi families and individuals left Iraq and immigrated to countries like US, Australia, Sweden and Canada.
